For over 60 years Abey Australia has been providing fellow Australians quality products that have endured the test of time. Renowned for their focus on quality and innovation, Abey Products are held in the highest regard amongst professional trades people.
The Abey head office and manufacturing facility, located in Melton, Victoria, employs over 200 full-time and part-time staff.
There are local Abey offices throughout Australia, with plans to expand into New Zealand and Asia.
Today Abey is represented in all Australian states, manufacturing and marketing a vast range of over 1,200 products including plumbers clipping systems, flexible connectors, gas flueing systems, stainless steel building connectors, flashings and a broad range of accessories across their business areas.
Abey launches a new Speed Clip product range to compliment their Interchangeable Clipping range which serviced this country for over 35 years and is still in use today. Abey opened a flagship selection centre like no other in Albert Park in Victoria featuring their growing designer range of kitchen, bathroom and laundry collections.
Abey is still a family business represented in all Australian States and in New Zealand, manufacturing and marketing a vast range of over 1,200 products.
Abey open their first Designer Showroom in Brisbane to showcase their growing designer range of products to Architect and Designers, group buyers, boutique design stores and end user customers. The Showroom proved to be an essential ingredient to authenticating Abey as a serious player within the high end designer products market and showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney and Western Australia soon followed. Abey also launches Barazza, an Italian cooking appliance manufacturer with very innovative designs and ultimate quality.
Abey acquires the exclusive distribution of World Leader Italian Gessi tapware for Australia and New Zealand which introduces Abey to the high end kitchen and bathroom tapware market.
Abey move its head office, main manufacturing and warehousing operations into a purpose built, state of the art facility in Melton, Victoria. With 10,000 sqm of architecturally designed building space and 26 acres of land, there is ample area for potential growth in the years ahead.
Abey seized the opportunity to develop their own branded sinkware marking the beginning of its presence in the high end kitchen and laundry appliances market.
Abey develops a new range of corrosion proof Stainless Steel masonry products after the Newcastle (NSW) earthquake.
Abey invented their unique Flexishaft skylight system which made skylight installation simple and inexpensive by eliminating the need for light shaft construction and with the added benefit of gaining greater light reflection through the highly reflective shaft.
Abey revolutionised the plumbing industry by inventing a new clipping system winning the prestigious “Best New Product” award and gaining national acceptance throughout the plumbing industry.
Abey Australia expand their operations by acquiring a small factory in Airport West, Victoria, where they began manufacturing safety belt components for passenger vehicles. In the same year Abey began manufacturing a new form of products for the hardware and plumbing industry in the form of masonry, plumbing and timber connectors.
